How to Measure Men's Traditional German Clothing
'Buam' und Männer Maße - Dirndl Maße
 Waist: Measure where you'd wear a belt - all the way around
Chest: Underneath your arms, across the widest part of your chest and around; Note that for jackets this measurement is the garment's NOT yours!
Back Length: Measure from collar to hem of jacket in the back.
Sleeve Length: Shoulder seam to sleeve hem
Shoulder to Shoulder is measured from one shoulder/arm seam to the other
Shoulder: Length of one shoulder seam
Inseam: Crotch to hem of trousers
Length: Waist to hem of trousers
How do we measure?
The measurements given are for the garments. We lay them out flat and measure them. In other words, if you have a jacket, suit or a pair of pants that fit you particularly well - measure them and compare. Please, keep in mind that Trachten are supposed to fit snugly - otherwise they wouldn't be so sexy :)
